Arrival in Athens and pick up from the airport. Transfer to your hotel in city center. Leisure time. Dinner and overnight.
2nd day ATHENS – ARGOLIS – OLYMPIA
Leave Athens by the coastal road reach Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. Shortstop for photos. Continue to Mycenae. The legendary capital of King Agamemnon, that flourished once in the style and grandness of the late Minoan period at the time of its sudden and mysterious fall on the island of Crete. The tour also includes a visit to the awe-inspiring theatre of Epidaurus, its perfect preservation only heightened by its harmony with nature and the drama of its acoustics still ringing with the throngs that once lined the many tiers. 3rd day OLYMPIA – DELPHI
After breakfast we visit, Olympia where the first Olympic Games took place and one of the most important sanctuaries of the ancient world full of temples, altars and sacred precincts. These vast ruins lie today shrouded in the shadow of giant pines and forgotten with the passage of time. Visit the remarkable Museum of Olympia housing some unique examples of ancient Greek Sculpture, works of antiquity’s most famous sculptors who brought their art to a perfection never attained before or since. Leaving Olympia and drive to Delphi. Dinner and overnight.
4th day DELPHI – ATHENS
Dedicated to the worship of God Apollo, Delphi achieved more than passing distinction as one of the most sacred sites of Ancient Greece. Its fame and certainly its wealth, reaching vast proportions by the unceasing flow of pilgrims who climbed its giant steeped landscape to hear and interpret the mysterious oracles. A complete and comprehensive tour of this magnificent site, perched thousands of feet above the plain. Return in Athens. Dinner and overnight.
5th day ATHENS
After breakfast, we start our city tour. Athens! A fascinating city. Explore the most beautiful attractions. Visit The Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. Continue to the Prime Minister’s residence guarded by the Euzones, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square.
Visit the Acropolis the ultimate glory of Ancient Athens, as well as the Parthenon. Visit Archaeological Museum. Free time for leisure in Plaka. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.
6th day ATHENS – SOUNION
On the southermost tip of Attica, standing as a crown above the Saronic Gulf are the spectacular and stirring relics of the Temple of Posseidon. Sunset seen from the rocky pinnacle is one of the most remarkable sights in the world.
Motor along the spectacular shore road, through the fashionable Athenian resorts of Gllyfada, Vouliagmeni and Voula to the impressive site of the temple at Sounion, which will be reached In time for sunset and return to Athens. A farewell dinner is waiting for you.
